Best tube stations for the parade
Highbury & Islington
Victoria · Mildmay · Windrush
Best station for the Upper Street stretch. Step-free. Will be at capacity from late morning.
Finsbury Park
Piccadilly · Victoria · NR
Best overall option. Walk south for Seven Sisters Road and Blackstock Road sections.
Manor House
Piccadilly
Closest to the Green Lanes stretch — usually the quietest viewing area.
Angel
Northern
South end of Upper Street. Good for fans coming from City and South London.
King's Cross St. Pancras
6 tube lines + mainline
Best mainline interchange for fans travelling in from outside London — 25-min walk to Upper Street.
Canonbury
Mildmay · Windrush
Quiet Overground station — short walk to Essex Road or Newington Green Road.
Travel advice — read this before you go
- Arrive 2–3 hours early. The parade starts at 14:00 but Upper Street, Holloway Road and Seven Sisters Road fill up from late morning. Stations queue from around 11:00.
- Do NOT use Arsenal, Holloway Road or Drayton Park stations. They sit inside the stadium closure zone and won't give you a view of the parade. Use Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington instead.
- Travelling from outside London? King's Cross / St. Pancras is your interchange — Victoria line to Highbury & Islington (2 stops), or a 25-minute walk straight up Upper Street.
- Road closures run 04:00 to 20:00. The whole loop (Holloway Rd, Seven Sisters, Blackstock, Green Lanes, Essex Rd, Upper St) is shut to traffic, plus the stadium island.
- Mobile reception will be patchy. Save your tickets, route and station map before you leave — screenshot the parade route now.
- Heading home? Walk a few stops away from the crowd before tapping in — Caledonian Road & Barnsbury or Canonbury (Overground) are usually quieter.

Arsenal parade — quick FAQ
When is the Arsenal Champions Parade?+
The Arsenal Champions Parade is on Sunday 31 May 2026, starting at 2:00 pm (14:00). Road closures are in place from approximately 4:00 am until 8:00 pm.
What is the Arsenal parade route?+
The parade is a loop that starts and ends near the Emirates Stadium. Four open-top buses head up Holloway Road, onto Seven Sisters Road, down Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road and Green Lanes, then via Petherton Road, Beresford Road and Newington Green Road, before turning down Essex Road and Upper Street, finishing back near the stadium.
Can I watch from Emirates Stadium?+
No. Emirates Stadium, Drayton Park, Hornsey Road and Benwell Road are closed throughout the parade and are NOT accessible to the public. Arsenal have told fans NOT to congregate around the stadium — you will not see the teams from these locations. Pick a spot anywhere along the published route instead.
What is the closest tube station to the parade route?+
Highbury & Islington (Victoria, Mildmay and Windrush lines) sits at the Upper Street end. Finsbury Park (Piccadilly, Victoria, National Rail) is your best bet for the Seven Sisters Road / Blackstock Road stretch. Angel (Northern line) covers the southern Upper Street section, and Manor House (Piccadilly) is closest to the Green Lanes stretch.
Will Arsenal tube station be open?+
Arsenal station and Holloway Road are likely to be exit-only or temporarily closed during the parade window. Drayton Park station and the immediate area around the Emirates are inside the closure zone — do not plan to use them. Use Finsbury Park, Highbury & Islington or Manor House instead.
What roads will be closed?+
Closures run roughly 4:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sunday 31 May along: Holloway Road, Seven Sisters Road, Blackstock Road, Mount Grove Road, Green Lanes, Petherton Road, Beresford Road, Newington Green Road, Essex Road, Upper Street, plus the stadium island (Drayton Park, Hornsey Road, Benwell Road, Queensland Road).
Which TfL buses are diverted?+
Routes 4, 19, 30, 43, 153, 236, 263, 271, 277, 393, 476 and night buses N19, N41 and N73 are expected to divert or curtail around the closure zone. Buses on Seven Sisters Road, Green Lanes, Upper Street and Holloway Road corridors are all affected — check the TfL live bus map before setting off.
How many people are expected?+
Up to 500,000 fans are expected across north London. The parade celebrates Arsenal's Premier League title and the FIFA Women's Champions Cup, with both the men's and women's first teams plus backroom staff on four separate buses. It will be one of the biggest London street gatherings of the year.
Where are the best spots to watch?+
Wide stretches like Holloway Road, Seven Sisters Road and Green Lanes give the best chance of seeing all four buses. Upper Street has the most atmosphere but fills up earliest. Avoid the stadium area entirely. Arrive 2–3 hours before the 2pm start to claim a spot.
How do I get to the parade if the tube is rammed?+
Walk in from King's Cross / St Pancras (25 minutes to Upper Street) or Camden Town (30 minutes via Camden Road). The Overground (Mildmay and Windrush lines) into Highbury & Islington is often a quicker option than the Victoria line from central London.
