Grass Roots starring Daniel Scott Phillips Quintet (Live Jazz)

Grass Roots is a monthly live music event which is fully dedicated to supporting young and emerging London-based jazz artists. It takes place at the CLF Art Lounge's Pop Up space in Peckham, South London on the first Thursday of the month.
For the month of November, we shine the spotlight on Daniel Scott Phillips.
Daniel is an up-and-coming jazz drummer currently studying at Trinity Laban, as well as Tomorrow’s Warriors where he is being mentored by Gary Crosby, Denys Baptiste and Binker Golding.
To date, he has performed at numerous prestigious venues and events including the Southbank Centre, We Out Here Festival, Brick Lane Jazz Festival and Dizzy’s Club in New York.
Taking inspiration from illustrious luminaries such as Branford Marsalis, Kenny Garrett and Jeff "Tain" Watts, Daniel and his quintet will be laying down original compositions, as well as re-imagined jazz standards.
You'll find the venue inside Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (or Mountview for short) on the ground floor and next to the main entrance. It is also behind Peckham Library and a 10-minute walk from Peckham Rye station.
Doors open at 8pm and the live music starts at 9pm.
