About this event

The SOUND/IMAGE Festival is an international festival hosted by the SOUND/IMAGE Research Centre, part of the Institute for Inclusive Communities and Environments at the University of Greenwich, bringing together artists, researchers, and creative practitioners from around the world working at the intersection of sound, image, and emerging technologies.

Across three days, the festival presents a dynamic programme of concerts, performances, installations, screenings, talks, and workshops, creating a space for exchange, experimentation and critical dialogue.

Best station

Cutty Sark

5 min walk

🚉 Cutty Sark DLR is the most scenic and practical — straight into the heart of Greenwich. From Bank or Tower Gateway, no changes. The Thames Clipper from central London piers is also brilliant and arrives right by the Cutty Sark ship. Worth considering for the journey itself.

Food & drink nearby

Greenwich market and town centre have plenty of food options. Borough Market is reachable via the Jubilee line.

Insider tip

After a big O2 night, skip the North Greenwich crush and hop the Uber Boat from the pier right outside — far calmer than the Jubilee scrum. Cutty Sark DLR looks close but it's a 15–20 minute trek across the peninsula, so only if you fancy the walk.
